QUETTA: The Balochistan’s Apex Committee on National Action Plan on Tuesday reviewed the security situation in the province, security forces operations, anti-smuggling, anti-narcotics efforts in Balochistan, and the security of foreign nationals employed in both CPEC and non-CPEC projects.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, while chairing the meeting, emphasized the importance of ensuring that the initiatives launched by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) at the federal level benefit all provinces.
The meeting was attended by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir and Caretaker Chief Minister of Balochistan Ali Mardan Khan Domki, Ministers and security officials.

PM Assures Support to Balochistan Govt
Prime Minister Kakar expressed confidence in the progress made by the Balochistan government and assured full support from the federal government. He emphasized that the socio-economic development of Balochistan was crucial for ensuring peace and prosperity in the province.
The COAS pledged the Pakistan Army’s full support for enforcement actions against illegal activities to prevent resource pilferage and economic losses.
Prime Minister Kakar highlighted the wealth of mines and minerals in Balochistan and stressed that development in this sector would generate economic activity and job opportunities. He also suggested focusing on investments in agriculture, information technology, human resource development, and the need for synergy among relevant departments to maximize the impact of these initiatives.
The meeting participants reaffirmed their commitment to the progress and prosperity of Balochistan, emphasizing unity among state institutions, government departments, and the people. Upon their arrival, the Prime Minister and COAS were received by the Balochistan Chief Minister and Balochistan Corps Commander.
