KARACHI: Renowned scriptwriter and compere Anwar Maqsood has once again refuted rumors circulating on social media claiming his kidnapping and revealed that 42 fake social media accounts featuring his image were active.
In a statement, he expressed his dismay over the embarrassment caused by these false reports and fake news, stating that they have led to sleepless nights for him. Maqsood clarified that such incidents have never occurred and will not happen in the future.

Regarding the proliferation of fake accounts bearing his name and image on social media, he said that 42 fake social media accounts featuring his image were active. “I requested that these accounts be suspended and also filed a complaint with the police and the FIA in this regard” he said. He maintained that people must know how far a specific political party can go to achieve its targets.
A few days ago, singer Bilal Maqsood shared on Instagram a video of his father Anwar Maqsood, in which he could be seen making food. Anwar Maqsood said that he has been writing and speaking for his audience. He added, “I love my soldiers who are sacrificing their lives for us on the borders”.
