CANBERRA: Australian National University (ANU) announced on Thursday to build a world-class national health center in Canberra.
Brian Schmidt, the ANU Vice-Chancellor, said in a statement that the university had paid the Australian Capital Territory government $11.1 million for an 8,600 square-meter property in the city.
A new facility would provide research and teaching services in public health, biomedical science, medicine, health policy, and psychology.
Canberrans’ access to modern treatments, therapies
Moreover, it would give Canberrans access to modern treatments and therapies.
Schmidt said that the university would use the site to bring together research, policy, treatment, teaching, and community involvement to understand and meet future health needs, which is an important part of ANU’s goal as the national university.
