Another purported video of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has surfaced on social media where the premier could be heard talking to an unidentified person regarding the appointment of special assistants.
In the audio, the unidentified person could be heard telling the prime minister that Economic Affairs Minister Ayaz Sadiq has informed him that the Pakistan People’s Party wanted “shares” in the appointment of special assistants to the prime minister. In response to the conversation, the prime minister purportedly tells the person that Bilawal Bhutto has spoken to him about the matter.
In reply, the unidentified person tells the prime minister to look into the matter as the government already has to appoint “Zafar Mehmood and Jahanzaib” and he will share the final list of special assistants with the premier later in the day.
In response, the premier could purportedly be heard telling the person to share the list as besides the PPP, other parties also wanted the portpolios.
The persons then tells the premier that if PPP was accommodating, the JUI and the MQM will also ask for “share”. The person tells, in the audio, the prime minister that the MQM was proposing the name of Malik Ahmed Ali, who had played a critical role in clinching the deal. When the prime minister inquires about Malik Ahmed Ali, the person tells him that he hailed from Karachi.
