Ankara, Islamabad to Work Together for Peace in Region: Bilawal Bhutto Zardari

ISLAMABAD: Ankara and Islamabad have reiterated that the two sides would work jointly for stable and peaceful Afghanistan, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Thursday.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari issued a statement via his social media account and said that he has held telephonic conversation with his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavusoglu today. The two sides discussed the present situation in Afghanistan during the conversation. Pakistan’s Foreign Minister said that the two sides reiterated their commitment to work together for a stable and peaceful Afghanistan and regional peace and prosperity.

He tweeted, “Pleased to have a telephonic conversation with Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavusoglu today. Lauded Turkiye’s solidarity for flood affectees and continued support for rehabilitation and climate-resistant Pakistan. Reiterated commitment to work together for peaceful and stable Afghanistan for regional peace and prosperity,”.

Bilawal Bhutto also lauded the Turkish solidarity for the flood-hit people in Pakistan and continued support for the rehabilitation of the flood-affected people and building a climate-resistant Pakistan.
