NEW YORK: Angelina Jolie has decided to end her two-year legal battle with the FBI by dropping the lawsuit related to the investigation into her abuse allegations against ex-husband Brad Pitt.
According to court documents obtained by Page Six, the Tomb Raider star filed a motion to dismiss the case with prejudice on September 25, stating that both parties would be responsible for their own legal fees.
The FBI began investigating an alleged physical quarrel involving Pitt, Jolie, and their children on a private jet in 2016, following an anonymous tip. The inquiry concluded on November 22, 2016, with no charges brought against Pitt, who is now 60. Shortly after, Jolie, 49, filed for divorce.
In April 2022, she initiated a lawsuit under the pseudonym “Jane Doe,” seeking information about the agency’s investigation into a domestic violence incident involving her and her minor children as victims and witnesses.
