ISLAMABAD: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Wednesday seized over 22 kilograms of drugs, eight thousand intoxicated tablets, and thirty-six heroin-filled capsules while conducting five counter-narcotics operations in different parts of the country. It has also arrested five accused.
According to a ANF spokesman, 2.9kg of ice drugs and eight thousand intoxicated tablets were seized from the trolley of a Madina-bound passenger at Islamabad airport. The accused is a resident of Jhelum who was about to fly on flight ER-1805.
ANF other operations
ANF and ASF seized over 0.6kg of heroin from a Jeddah-bound passenger in a joint operation at the Bacha Khan International Airport. The accused belonged to Bannu who was about to go on flight SV-797.
ANF carried out the third operation at Lahore airport, where it recovered 36 heroin-filled capsules from a Turkiye-bound passenger who is a resident of Jhelum and had to travel on flight PK-707.
ANF Sindh seized twelve kilograms of charras (cannabis) from a rickshaw intercepted near the vicinity of Kemari area, Karachi.
Another operation was conducted near Chaman Friendship Gate, in which 2 Afghan nationals were arrested and ANF recovered 5.5 kilograms of ice drugs and 490g of heroin from their possession.
The spokesman informed that in an operation conducted near Chaman Friendship Gate, two Afghan Nationals were rounded up and ANF recovered 5.5kg of ice drug and 490 grams of heroin.
