RAWALPINDI: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted eight operations across Pakistan, managed to recover over 592 kg of drugs and arrested seven suspects, said an ANF headquarters spokesman on Monday.
Among the seizures, 2 kg of Ice was found in the possession of a passenger bound for Bahrain at Sialkot Airport, while 64 Ice-filled capsules were retrieved from the stomach of a passenger heading to Jeddah at Lahore Airport.
Further, 284 kg of hashish was seized from a suspect near Gahi Chowk Quetta, and 150 kg each of opium and morphine were discovered in an abandoned house in Kuchlak Pishin. Four kg of hashish was confiscated from a suspect near Iqbal Shaheed Toll Plaza, Attock.
Further, 1 kg of hashish was seized from a suspect near GT Road, Attock, and another 1 kg from an individual near Bano Bypass Kohat. Finally, in the eighth operation, 500 grams of heroin and 350 grams of Ice were recovered from a woman arrested near Islamabad Motorway. All arrested individuals are facing charges under the Anti-Narcotics Act, with investigations ongoing. —APP
