ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted six operations across Pakistan, recovering 574 kg of drugs and arresting six suspects, according to an ANF Headquarters spokesman.
Among the recoveries were 1.6 kg of ice from parcels destined for France and Saudi Arabia at a courier office in Lahore, and 56 heroin-filled capsules from a Jeddah-bound passenger at Peshawar Airport.
In Islamabad, a vehicle was intercepted at Chungi No 26, yielding 273.6 kg of hashish, 85 kg of heroin, 68.4 kg of opium, and 1.5 kg of ice, leading to two arrests. Near Ring Road Peshawar, 64 kg of hashish and 19.2 kg of opium were seized from a vehicle, resulting in another arrest. Additionally, 60 kg of hashish was recovered from a vehicle on Khanewal Road in Multan, with two suspects apprehended. Cases have been registered, and further investigations are underway.
