ANF Seizes 16 kg of Narcotics Across Pakistan

RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has successfully conducted a series of 11 operations across Pakistan, resulting in the recovery of 16 kilograms of drugs valued at approximately Rs 3.2 million and the arrest of 10 individuals involved in drug trafficking.

Among the significant recoveries were two operations on Lalazar Road in Rawalpindi, where authorities seized 69 grams of hashish from two suspects near a university. In another operation, 2.4 kilograms of hashish were confiscated from a woman traveling in a passenger van near the Motorway Toll Plaza in Islamabad. Additionally, authorities apprehended an individual in Attock, recovering 50 grams of ice (crystal meth), while another suspect in Faisalabad was found with 600 grams of ice near a university.

Further investigations revealed the extent of drug distribution, with several arrests connected to educational institutions. In Faisalabad, 300 grams of hashish and 200 grams of ice were seized from an individual near a college. In Lahore, a notable haul included 1,040 grams of heroin, 450 grams of ice from a courier parcel destined for Bahrain, and 360 grams of heroin from another suspect.

The ANF spokesman confirmed that all arrested individuals confessed to supplying drugs to students. Cases have been filed under the Anti-Narcotics Act, with ongoing investigations to further dismantle drug networks targeting youth in educational settings.
