RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) carried out 11 operations across the country, resulting in the recovery of 44kgs of various drugs.
ANF officials arrested eight individuals in connection with these operations. The operations targeted drug trafficking networks and uncovered significant quantities of narcotics destined for both domestic and international markets.
In Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi, ANF seized 2.4 kg of heroin concealed in a parcel bound for the UK.
A parcel from Canada containing 230 grams of weed was intercepted at a courier office in Multan.
At Sialkot airport, 1174 grams of narcotics hidden in a passenger’s trolley bag were confiscated from an individual boarding a flight to Bahrain (GF-769).
On Shangla Hill Road, Faisalabad, ANF recovered 7.2 kg of hashish from two suspects riding a motorcycle.
In Faisalabad, 2.4 kg of hashish and 150 grams of Ice drug were seized from a motorcycle rider on Lahore Road.
ANF apprehended an individual with 18 kg of hashish on Kahuta Road, Islamabad.
At Jinnah International Airport, a parcel from Quetta containing 3.5 kg of hashish was intercepted.
On Ring Road Peshawar, ANF intercepted a vehicle, recovering 3 kg of heroin and 700 grams of Ice drug. A drug smuggler was arrested.
A vehicle on Jamrud Road yielded 1 kg of Ice drug and a 9 mm pistol, leading to the arrest of the accused.
In Sukkur, ANF apprehended an individual with 2 kg of hashish near Sajjad Restaurant.
An abandoned motorcycle near Alien Housing Society in Hub was found to contain 2.4 kg of hashish.
Separate cases have been registered against all accused under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and further investigations are underway to dismantle drug trafficking networks and curb the illegal narcotics trade.
