RAWALPINDI: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) in its crackdown against drug trafficking conducted 11 operations across Pakistan and managed to recover 150 kg of drugs besides arresting six accused, said an ANF spokesperson on Saturday. In the operations, 1.9 kg of Ice was recovered from a parcel booked for Australia at Lahore Airport.
Additionally, 31,700 intoxicating tablets were recovered from a passenger at Islamabad Airport. Another operation at Islamabad Airport led to the recovery of 84 heroin-filled capsules from a passenger en route to Dubai.
At Multan Airport, ANF recovered 93 Ice-filled capsules from a passenger heading to Qatar, while 950 grams of Ice was seized from a parcel intended for Greece, originating from Lahore’s GPO office. Similarly, 690 grams of heroin were recovered in the possession of a suspect arrested in Bahria Town Rawalpindi. The arrested individuals have been charged under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and further investigations are ongoing. —APP
