RAWALPINDI: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Pakistan on Saturday recovered over 363 kg of drugs and arrested 13 accused during nine operations nationwide.
According to the spokesman of ANF Headquarters, 5 kg Ice and 3 kg ketamine drug were found in a parcel at a cargo office at Jinnah Airport while an accused was also apprehended. As per the details, the authorities seized 504 grams of heroin from a passenger who was leaving for Bahrain from Peshawar Airport.
In a subsequent operation at Ravi Motorway Toll Plaza in Lahore, two suspects were apprehended with 84 kg of opium and 120 kg of hashish. Near Kot Abdul Malik Motorway in Lahore, three suspects were arrested, and authorities confiscated 54 kg of opium and 48 kg of hashish.
Another operation near Sangjani Toll Plaza in Islamabad resulted in the arrest of two suspects and the seizure of 17 kg of hashish. Additionally, near Zakhakhel Khyber area, authorities recovered 5.5 kg of heroin, 9 kg of hashish, and 1.5 kg of suspicious material. Along M-1 in Islamabad, three drug smugglers were caught, and 14 kg of hashish was recovered in separate operations.
Legal proceedings under the Anti-Narcotics Act have been initiated against all accused. –APP
