DOHA: The Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani will pay a working visit to Kazakhstan to attend SCO and hold bilateral meeting with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. According to local media, he will participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Astana.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in Kazakhstan for regional security and defence talks, the Kremlin said, as well as a series of bilateral meetings, including with Turkish and Chinese leaders. While the summit is expected to be dominated by China and Russia, leaders or representatives of Belarus, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, India, Pakistan, China, Kyrgyzstan, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Mongolia, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Turkey and Uzbekistan, are also likely to attend.
After that, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani will head to Poland on an official visit during which he will meet with President Andrzej Duda and several senior Polish officials.
