ISLAMABAD: Traffic in Islamabad is flowing smoothly, with all major roads and intersections now completely open, local authorities said on Monday.
According to a police spokesperson, Islamabad’s senior superintendent of police (traffic) is overseeing the entire situation on the ground to ensure the uninterrupted flow of traffic.
In a series of updates, the police also confirmed that several main routes, including Koral Chowk, Rawat T Cross, Faizabad, Murree Road, Khanna Bridge, and the Express Highway, are now open for traffic in both directions. Golra Morr, Peshawar Morr, and Chungi No 26 have also been cleared for vehicular movement.
It said that Murree Road has also been opened for traffic in both sides from near the traffic police office, the spokesperson added.
Similarly, the Motorway Link Road, and Colonel Sher Khan Shaheed Road have been opened from both sides, while G-14 Srinagar Highway, Bhara Kahu and 17 Mile Toll Plaza are fully accessible.
The police officials have advised citizens to use Margalla Road for entering the Red Zone, ensuring smooth and easy access to various areas of the city.
