ISLAMABAD: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has strongly condemned India for subjecting Kashmiris to severe political, cultural, economic aggression, and religious violence for merely demanding their inalienable right to self-determination.

In a statement issued by APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas in Srinagar, it was emphasized that the Kashmiri people have been making immense sacrifices for their political rights and would persist in their struggle until they achieve complete success.

On the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of prominent liberation leader Ashfaq Majeed Wani, tribute was paid to his legacy, with the unresolved Kashmir dispute highlighted as the root cause of the ongoing violence in the region.

The statement underscored how the unresolved Kashmir issue has disrupted the peace of the Kashmiri people, leaving them in a perpetual state of uncertainty in the occupied territory. It was emphasized that for genuine peace in Jammu and Kashmir, India must engage in dialogue with Pakistan and the true representatives of the Kashmiri people, reflecting their aspirations.

Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas urged Kashmiris to reaffirm their commitment during the blessed month of Ramadan to never compromise on the sacrifices made by the martyrs. He emphasized that the global attention on the Kashmir dispute is a result of the great sacrifices of these martyrs.

Furthermore, Minhas denounced the attempts by the Indian Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) regime and its sponsored individuals in Kashmir to interfere in the religious affairs of Kashmiri Muslims, aiming to divide the people. He called upon Kashmiris to unite against such divisive tactics.

Lastly, the APHC spokesman called upon the United Nations and the international community to intervene and facilitate the resolution of the longstanding Kashmir dispute in accordance with UN resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
