KARACHI: The newly appointed Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, Brahim Romani was honored by the Karachi-based think-tank Pakistan Council on Foreign Relations in his first visit to Karachi since assuming the post.
Brahim Romani was attending a dinner hosted by PCFR, where the think-tank’s Secretary-General Ahsan Mukhtar Zubairi presented a souvenir to the visiting dignitary.
Chairman of Pakistan Council on Foreign Relations Ambassador Shahid M Amin (Retd) highlighted the excellent relations enjoyed by Algeria and Pakistan since many decades.
Ambassador Amin emphasized the need of promoting trade activities between the two countries and simplifying the visa process for the business community.
Algeria envoy appreciates business trips from Pakistan
While addressing the gathering Brahim Romani said that the Algerian mission appreciated the business-related trips to Algeria and has in place a quick visa process for members of the different chambers of commerce across Pakistan.
Romani informed the members of the audience that in order to facilitate trade between both countries he will do all that is possible.
Those attending the occasion included Karachi-based diplomats, government officials, the business community, academics, and other notables of the city.
