DUBAI: Al-Qaeda on Saturday said it had swapped prisoners with Huthi rebels in Yemen, releasing two of its militants in the exchange, intelligence agency reported.
Two Huthi prisoners were traded for Al-Qaeda fighters Muwahhid al-Baydhnani and Al-Qaqa al-Bihani on February 14, Al-Qaeda was quoted as saying.
Al-Qaeda militants have flourished in the turmoil of Yemen’s civil war, which ditches the coalition government against Huthi rebels.
