RIYADH: Al Nassr clinched their first win in the Saudi Pro League season, triumphing 4-1 against Al Fayha in Buraidah during the 2nd round of the league.

This win buoyed Al Nassr after a draw against Al Raed in the last round, bringing their first three points in the title race. The scoring opened early, with Talisca finding the net in the 5th minute. Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo also added a second goal from a free-kick just outside the box during the first half’s stoppage time.

Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic also widened the gap with a third goal at the 85th minute mark. Although Al Fayha narrowed the lead with a goal from Zambian forward Fashion Sakala in the 87th minute, Talisca secured the victory with his second goal, a precise free-kick, just before the final whistle.

Simultaneously in Buraidah, Al Qadsiah has secured a narrow 1-0 win against Al Raed. Turki Al Ammar was the hero for his side, scoring the lone goal in the 80th minute following a tightly contested match that appeared headed for a goalless draw. This victory gave Al Qadsiah a perfect start to the season, placing them temporarily at the top of the league standings with six points from two matches.
