ISLAMABAD: President Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry has called upon all political parties to unite and collaborate in their efforts to advance the Kashmir cause.
He made this appeal during a meeting with a delegation from Jammat Islami Azad Kashmir, led by its Amir, Dr Muhammad Mushtaq Khan, in Islamabad.
Addressing the escalating political and human rights issues in Indian Illegally-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, President Chaudhry emphasized that, at this critical juncture, it is imperative for all parties to intensify their endeavours to end Indian occupation, according to state media.
The president commended Jamaat-e-Islami for effectively highlighting the Kashmir issue and acknowledged the significant role they played in this regard.
Given the highly volatile situation in the region, President Chaudhry stressed the urgent necessity of informing the international community about the importance of finding an early and amicable resolution to the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UNSC resolutions.
