MIRPUR: Azad Jammu and Kashmir former Prime Minister Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan strongly condemned the Israeli military’s actions in Gaza, referring to them as one of the most severe violations of international humanitarian law in history.

He urged the United Nations and global humanitarian organizations to exert immediate pressure for a ceasefire to end the genocidal operations taking place within the confines of Gaza.

In a conversation with APP on Monday, he pointed to emerging reports detailing egregious human rights violations in Gaza. Palestinians in Gaza are effectively trapped, with their future remaining uncertain. Attique noted that the UN’s two-state solution for Palestine has not been implemented by Israel.

He criticized the nations that claim to be leaders in global peace for their silent observation of the failure to implement the UN’s two-state resolution, deeming this silence as a grave disservice to global peace and security.

Attique stressed that withholding food and medical aid from the besieged Palestinians is a heartless act and constitutes both an open act of war and a grave humanitarian crime. He emphasized that no rational individual would resort to such actions, especially given the extraordinary regional circumstances currently prevailing in the Middle East.

He urged the UN to take immediate action to ensure the supply of humanitarian food and medical aid to the war-torn Gaza and its inhabitants.
