ISLAMABAD: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) chapter of the All Party Hurriyat Conference (APHC) paid tribute on Tuesday to the martyrs of Chhota Bazar, Srinagar, on their martyrdom day.

At a condolence conference presided over by APHC-AJK Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi, speakers remembered the innocent Kashmiris martyred by Indian soldiers on this day in 1991. The event was reported by Kashmir Media Service.

Speakers honored the martyrs and condemned the atrocities committed by Indian forces in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. They highlighted the ongoing genocide of Kashmiris, destruction of property, harassment of residents, and dismissal of government employees as part of the Indian occupation’s brutal tactics. Despite this brutality, they asserted, India cannot suppress the Kashmiris’ spirit of freedom.

The speakers called on the international community to take notice of the human rights violations committed by Indian troops. They urged global powers to play their role in resolving the Kashmir conflict, granting Kashmiris their right to self-determination, and ensuring their protection.

Additionally, the speakers demanded strict action against Indian soldiers involved in war crimes and called for an impartial investigation into the massacre incidents.
