KATHMANDU: AIPS ASIA has conferred the prestigious ‘Legend of AIPS ASIA’ awards upon six of the most senior and respected sports journalists from across Asia. This accolade recognizes their outstanding contributions to sports journalism and their unwavering commitment to the profession.
The honored journalists represent the pinnacle of sports reporting in their respective countries, each having dedicated decades to covering and promoting sports at both national and international levels. Their work has not only shaped the landscape of sports journalism but also inspired future generations of journalists.
Additionally, the National Sports Journalists Association will be recognized for its outstanding services at the Asian level. In the first phase, Saudi Arabia, Nepal, Malaysia, India, Bangladesh, and the United States of Arab Emirates will receive the Legend of AIPS ASIA Awards.
The sports journalists and association to receive awards in the second phase will be announced on September 13 during the Pulsar Award ceremony in Kathmandu, Nepal. At this event, hosted by the Nepal Sports Journalists Forum, awards will also be given to athletes who have rendered exceptional services to their countries and nations on national and international stages.
The selected award winners of the Legend of AIPS ASIA and best Association of the year 2024 will receive their honors during this ceremony.
