ISLAMABAD: The annual meeting of the Board of Management and Review and Publishing Committee for the Seerat-un-Nabi Chair took place at Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) on Friday.
Prof. Dr. Sahibzada Sajid Ur Rahman chaired the meeting, which presented an overview of last year’s organized activities, manuscripts intended for publication, and research projects concerning Seerat un-Nabi. The board also discussed arrangements for the National Seerat Conference for Rabi-ul-Awwal.
Addressing the assembly as the chief guest, Prof. Dr. Nasir Mahmood, the Vice Chancellor of AIOU, highlighted the importance of engaging the younger generation with the teachings of Rasool-e-Kareem (Peace Be Upon Him) for societal reformation. Given the prominence of social media, he emphasized the need to create and share short video clips based on Seerat books.

He further instructed the Management Board of the Seerat Chair to have authors provide a summary or introductory note before commencing book writing.
Dr. Sahibzada Sajid ur Rahman expressed that the Seerat Chair’s mission is to promote the teachings of the Prophet (PBUH) for the guidance of the youth. He acknowledged the successful accomplishment of set objectives since the establishment of this Seerat Chair at AIOU one and a half year ago.
