KUWAIT: In the face of the Hindutva mindset’s involvement in global Muslim-related issues, a Kuwait-based Indian nurse is now under scrutiny for her support of Israeli actions, including the tragic deaths of Palestinian children and the bombing of Al Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza.

She is also accused of displaying the Zionist entity’s flag on her social media accounts.

Kuwaiti lawyer Ali Habab Al-Duwaikh has officially filed a complaint with the Public Prosecution against the Indian nurse, who is employed at Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital. The complaint alleges that her actions violate Kuwait’s legal regulations and the emir’s decree, which declared a state of war between Kuwait and Israel.

This development follows the recent arrest and dismissal of Dr. Sunil Rao, a senior Indian doctor in Bahrain, for posting “anti-Palestine” comments on social media. Dr. Rao’s arrest was made by Bahrain’s Anti-Cyber Crimes Directorate, which cited violations of civil peace and social stability that could jeopardize society’s security and safety.

Lawyer Al-Duwaikh, in his complaint against the Indian nurse in Kuwait, highlighted the Kuwaiti government’s strong stance in support of Palestine, particularly in the aftermath of the tragic bombing of Al Ahli Hospital. He noted the Minister of Health’s call for nurses and doctors to protest against the Zionist entity. Al-Duwaikh emphasized that the nurse at Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital openly displayed the flag of the Zionist entity in her WhatsApp status, effectively endorsing the criminal act that occurred.

The lawyer’s formal complaint to the Public Prosecutor’s Office seeks legal action against the nurse, asserting that her actions indicate support for the Zionist entity and a disregard for Kuwait’s State Security Law, notably referencing Article Seven, which criminalizes such activities. This could result in a maximum penalty of life imprisonment or a minimum of five years behind bars.

Furthermore, Al-Duwaikh called upon Muslims in Kuwait and the wider Islamic world to oppose the Zionist entity and its supporters in accordance with domestic and international laws. He suggested that even if direct confrontations across borders are not feasible, internal efforts can significantly impact the Zionist entity.
