PESHAWAR: The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has slashed taxes on export of coal and other items, said the commercial attaché of the Afghan Consulate.
According to the Afghan diplomat, the interim government has also decided to open the Badini crossing to boost trade between the neighbours to new heights.
Dr Abdul Hannan Hamat affirmed IEA’s desire to establish exemplary trade relations with Pakistan.
He, at a meeting with Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) on Friday, hoped trade ties between the neighbours would rise considerably.
QCCI representatives briefed Dr Hamat on issues Pakistani traders have been facing in trade with Afghanistan. In response, Hamat said he was not against Pakistan and wanted to further strengthen bilateral relations between the two nations.
