Afghanistan Progressing in Various Fields for the First Time: Muttaqi

KABUL: In a recent meeting with a delegation from the International Union of Muslim Scholars in Kabul, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Amir Khan Muttaqi emphasized Afghanistan’s development in various fields, noting its newfound status as an oil-producing country.

According to a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Muttaqi conveyed that the country’s security is fully ensured, experiencing political and economic progress. Despite expressing sadness over the current situation, including martyrdoms, immigration, and sacrifices, Muttaqi mentioned that these challenges are part of the prelude to victory.

The Acting Minister praised the efforts of the International Union of Muslim Scholars and Qatar regarding the Palestine issue. Ali al-Qaradaghi, Secretary-General of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, conveyed special greetings from Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of the Hamas movement, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the Prime Minister, and Foreign Minister of Qatar.

Sebghatullah Wasil, Deputy Minister of Education, discussed the achievements of the Islamic Emirate in the field of education during the meeting.

Members of the visiting delegation expressed solidarity with the Islamic Emirate, emphasizing the importance of sharing its experiences with the world. They stated that the history of Afghanistan’s triumph over invaders needs to be documented. The recent earthquakes in Afghanistan and the forced deportation of refugees from Pakistan were acknowledged as challenges, and the delegation expressed confidence in Afghanistan’s ability to overcome them.

Muttaqi extended gratitude to the delegation and Qatar for their assistance to earthquake victims and returnees. He urged them to convey the true image of Afghanistan to the global community.

The meeting showcased Afghanistan’s strides in development and its evolving role in the international arena, as discussed with the International Union of Muslim Scholars delegation.
