ISLAMABAD: The interim government of Afghanistan on Friday strongly condemned the attack on Pakistan’s Head of Mission Ubaid Nizamani in Kabul, and assured that a serious probe would be conducted to bring the attackers to justice.
“The IEA (Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan) strongly condemns firing at Pakistan Embassy in Kabul,” the spokesperson of the Afghan foreign ministry Abdul Qahar Balkhi wrote on Twitter.

While praying for the speedy recovery of the security guard of the diplomatic mission, who was injured in the attack, the spokesperson said that the Afghan government would not permit any malicious element to pose a security threat to diplomatic missions in Afghan’s capital, Kabul.
“Our security teams will conduct a serious investigation to identify perpetrators involved in the attack and bring them to justice,” the spokesperson assured.
Earlier, a security guard of Pakistan’s embassy in Kabul was seriously wounded when unknown assailants attacked at Head of the country’s Mission at the embassy premises in the capital of Afghanistan.-APP
