KABUL: Afghan, Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce Nooruddin Azizi has held a meeting with Ruslan Edelgeriyev, the advisor to the President of the Russian Federation, to discuss cooperation in transit and trade between the two countries.
According to a statement from the Ministry on Sunday, Azizi and Edelgeriyev, who was in Afghanistan to attend a climate change conference, discussed a wide range of topics.
These included transit routes between the two countries, bilateral trade, preferential tariffs, the resumption of the Joint Economic Commission, Islamic banking, Russian investment in Afghanistan, and the facilitation of issuing trade visas.
They also talked about the establishment of a permanent Afghanistan trade center in Moscow and Afghanistan’s participation in the 15th International Economic Forum of Russia and the Islamic world.
