KABUL: Noor Mohammad Saqib, the Acting Minister of Haj and Islamic, and Religious Affairs of Afghanistan, with a delegation left for Uzbekistan to discuss strengthening religious and education activities, the ministry said in a statement.
The delegation is likely to visit the Islamic and religious centres of Uzbekistan in the cities of Tashkent, Bukhara and Samarkand, and will hold meetings with the officials of the Islamic institutions of that country regarding the strengthening and development of ties with the Islamic Emirate, the expansion of relations between the scholars of the two nations, and cooperation and exchange of experiences in the field of mosques and seminaries, the statement said.
First Delegation to Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan has had positive and good ties with the Islamic Emirate, but it is the first time that the IEA religious delegation has visiting the country.
