LOS ANGELES: Austrian-born action star Arnold Schwarzenegger admits it took plenty of practice to perfect the tango scene with Canadian actress Carrie-Anne Moss in Season 2 of Netflix’s action-comedy series Fubar.

“We practiced. We practiced a lot, and she didn’t need as much practice as I did, but I really practiced,” the former California governor told Reuters.

The “Terminator” star recalled nailing the first take of the dance scene, surprising everyone with how prepared they were.

“They just thought we were rehearsing, but they did not know that we were that prepared for the whole thing,” Schwarzenegger said with a smile.

Season 2 of the action thriller, ‘Fubar’ is created by Nick Santora and produced by Skydance Television alongside Blackjack Films, premiered on Netflix last Thursday.

The story centres on Luke Brunner, portrayed by Arnold Schwarzenegger, and his daughter Emma, played by Monica Barbaro—both elite CIA operatives.

Their team includes Barry Putt (Milan Carter), Boro Polonia (Gabriel Luna), Roo Russell (Fortune Feimster), and Aldon Reese (Travis Van Winkle).

In Season 2, Brunner reunites with his CIA squad, but everything changes when he crosses paths with his ex-lover, Greta Nelson, brought to life by Carrie-Anne Moss.

Greta, a former East German spy, challenges Brunner not only in a heated tango but also in a fierce showdown.

“Most of my scenes are with Arnold, so we developed this incredible friendship,” Carrie-Anne said.

Schwarzenegger humorously recalled Carrie-Anne Moss, the “Matrix” star, bringing what he jokingly called “secret oil” to the set and rubbing it behind her ears before filming a scene.

“Peppermint oil. I’m a big peppermint oil or just essential oil person,” Carrie-Anne clarified.

“It was like some magic power because as soon as she smeared the stuff behind my ears, I mean it was like ‘pum!’ and we were kind of out of the gate doing our scenes in the most perfect way,” Schwarzenegger added.
