LAHORE: Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President Mohsin Naqvi on Saturday announced the venues, schedule, and match timings for the ACC Men’s Asia Cup 2025, set to take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 9 to 28.

Taking to social media platform X, Naqvi confirmed that the tournament will be hosted across two venues – Dubai International Cricket Stadium and Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

A total of eight teams will participate in the T20 format competition, which also serves as a preparatory event for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, to be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka in February.

Abu Dhabi will host eight matches, including the opening game and one of the Super Four fixtures.

Dubai, however, will stage the majority of the matches, including the high-profile clash between Pakistan and India on 14 September, and the final on 28 September.

All matches are scheduled to begin at 6 PM Gulf Standard Time, except for the UAE vs Oman match on 15 September, which will have an earlier start time.

The tournament features eight teams divided into two groups. Group A includes Pakistan, India, UAE, and Oman, while Group B comprises Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong.

The competition will begin on 9 September with Afghanistan taking on Hong Kong in Abu Dhabi.

Pakistan will start their campaign against Oman on 12 September, followed by their much-anticipated fixture against India on 14 September. The green shirts will play their final group-stage match against hosts UAE on 17 September.

Following the group stage, the top two teams from each group will progress to the Super Four phase, scheduled from 20 to 26 September.

If both Pakistan and India qualify, they could face each other again on 21 September. The top two sides from the Super Four standings will advance to the final.
