MIRPUR AJK : People residing on the Line of Control on both sides of Jammu and Kashmir State and worldwide are observing India’s Independence Day August 15 as Black Day.

The event Black Day is observed every year for many years and people in Kashmir reiterate their hatred toward India and Indian occupying forces in the region.

India on August 5, 2019, changed the status of Kashmir which was recognized internationally as per United Nations resolutions.

This nefarious move resulted in widespread protests and people in Kashmir live in perpetual fear.

All days in the Indian calendar are marked as Black Day by the Kashmiris who face the world’s worst form of state terrorism.

Indian occupied forces are over two million and they have made a ring of fire around Kashmir and leave no stone unturned in meting out barbaric treatment to innocent Kashmiris.

The ongoing and unending battle is on for 76 years and Kashmiris have never accepted Indian rule. They protest and make their voice matters whenever they get a chance in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and continue their struggle for freedom.

A protest organizer stated, “The observance of Indian Independence Day as Black Day by Kashmiris is showing the dissent and indignation against Indian occupied forces who with their hegemonic designs have subjugated millions of Kashmiris under their tyrannical control and imperial designs.”

“Anti India rallies are held all over Kashmir on both sides of Line of Control,” stated a spokesman from the Azad Jammu Kashmir government.

“Participants will wear black bands around their arms to show their hatred against India and black flags will be hoisted on top of buildings in the valley so that the world can see how India is looked down upon,” said one of the organizers of black day programs.

Azad Jammu & Kashmir as always in solidarity with their brethren on the other side of the border will hold anti-India rallies and processions in all small and big towns including the capital Muzafferabad.

The event is special and the ongoing oppression of 76 years is depicted in unity in all the nine district headquarters of Mirpur, Kotli, Bagh, Bhimbher, Palandri, Rawalakot, Haveli, Jhelum Valley and Neelam Valley by the people representing different walks of life.

The world views India’s  illegal occupation of  Kashmir as the biggest prison where countless human rights violations happen each day and the perpetrators go scot-free.

The fascist and despotic Bhartia Janta Party government led by Narendra Modi has made lives miserable for millions and the revocation of Kashmir’s special status on August 5, 2019, has Kashmiris protesting globally.
