Gold Price Decreases by Rs 600 to Settle Rs 221,100 Per Tola

ISLAMABAD: After a significant depreciation of Rs 1100 last day, the per tola price of 24 karats of gold went down further on Tuesday with a decrease of Rs 600 and was available in the market at Rs 221,100 against its last day sale at Rs 221,700.

According to All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of 10 grams of 24 karats of the yellow plate received the same treatment and decreased by Rs 514 to settle at Rs 189,558 from its previous day sale of Rs 190,072 whereas the price of 10 grams of 22 Karats of the precious metal went down to Rs 173,761 from its last day price of Rs 174,233,

However, the rates of the per tola and ten-grams of the white plate (silver) observed no change and settled at Rs 2750 and Rs 2357.68, respectively.

Gold Price in International Market

Unlike the local market, the price of the yellow plate in the international market went down for the second consecutive day by $ 13 to settle at $ 1,927 per ounce from $ 1,940. Last day, the price of gold in the international market observed a decline of $2 per ounce. Gold prices remained highly volatile during the last few months, both at the national and international levels. In Pakistan, it reached the highest ever on May 10, 2023, at Rs, 2,40,000 per tola and then went down to Rs 2,04,500 in the middle of July this year.
