DUBAI: Diplomat Martina Strong has been selected as the next United States Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) following her confirmation by the US Senate. Strong’s appointment fills the vacancy that had remained open since former diplomat John Rakolta Jr concluded his service in 2021.
With a distinguished diplomatic career, Martina Strong has previously served as the chargé d’affaires at the US embassy in Saudi Arabia. Her expertise and experience have also been evident in her diplomatic assignments in Iraq, Bulgaria, and Poland.
