NEW DELHI: Another shocking and disturbing act of violence against women was reported from India, as a Muslim girl, was molested and beaten up in public by men in the Ujjain city of Madhya Pradesh, Western media reported on Sunday.
The disturbing incident occurred when the girl was returning home after performing her duty, drawing massive outrage from the Muslim community.

As per the report, the police arrested the two men involved in the assault; however, a video shared by the Madhya Pradesh Congress via Twitter showed the girl alleging five people assaulted her.
She also said that one of the attackers told her that “police is in my pocket”, while the attacker’s mother was also involved in the attack.
The shocking incident comes days after two women were gang-raped and paraded naked by a group of men in violence-hit Manipur.
Narendra Modi-led government of the BJP in India came under fire for failure to stop violence against women across the country and particularly in Manipur.
Leaders across the world registered their condemnation and negative reactions over the awful act in Manipur. As per Indian media and western media reports, no significant action has been taken against the perpetrators of the Manipur incident.
