ISLAMABAD: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is expected to visit Pakistan in the first week of August, according to a local news channel citing diplomatic sources.

During his official visit, Erdogan will meet with Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to discuss matters of mutual interest.

Erdogan’s visit will be accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. The two foreign ministers, Hakan Fidan and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari of Pakistan, are expected to hold a meeting to explore avenues of cooperation in various fields.

Cooperation Between Pakistan and Turkey

The visit aims to enhance economic and trade cooperation between Turkey and Pakistan, and both sides are anticipated to sign multiple Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the meetings.

Last month, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited Turkey to attend the inauguration ceremony of President Erdogan, where he also met with several world leaders to discuss bilateral cooperation.

The upcoming visit of President Erdogan is expected to further strengthen the already friendly and cooperative relations between Turkey and Pakistan, and pave the way for enhanced collaboration in various sectors.
