Islamabad to Continue Support to People of Kashmir: Foreign Office

During a weekly press briefing, Pakistan’s Foreign Office Spokesperson said, “The Pakistani nation is observing the 92nd Kashmir Martyrs Day today in order to commemorate the martyrdom of 22 Kashmiris, who rendered sacrifices while braving the indiscriminate and brute firing of Dogra troops in 1931. We salute their valour which ignited a brave struggle for the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination and kindled a freedom movement that continues to this day.”

“On a pattern like to the Dogra troops, over the last seventy years, the Indian Occupation Forces have martyred hundreds of people in Kashmir simply for demanding their basic rights. Since 5 August 2019, more than 780 Kashmiris have been martyred by the Indian Occupation Forces in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).”

The spokesperson said that India’s unabated suppression over the past seven decades has badly failed to break the determination of the people in Kashmir, who have continued to struggle for their right to self-determination.

Azerbaijan’s Minister to visit Pakistan

The spokesperson also said that Azerbaijan’s Minister for Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev will visit Pakistan from 17-19 July.

This trip is taking place in follow up to PM’s recent visit to Azerbaijan. Minister Nabiyev will meet with Pakistani counterparts to explore bilateral cooperation in areas of IT and connectivity, she added.
