ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has offered condolences to the family of Pakistan citizens and other families who have lost their loved ones in the traumatic Titan submersible mishap, Pakistan’s Foreign Office said on Thursday.

Pakistani national Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman were among the ill-fated tourists aboard the Titanic Submersible. In a statement via her official Twitter account, Pakistan’s Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch expressed deep sorrow over the sad accident and said, ” Our deepest condolences to the Dawood family and the family of other passengers on the sad news about the fate of Titanic submersible in the North Atlantic. We laud the multinational efforts over the last several days in search of the vessel,”.

Shahzada Dawood and his son were among the five passengers aboard a missing submersible who died in a “terrible” event, a Coast Guard personnel said on Thursday, bringing an ugly end to the huge search for the vessel that was lost during a journey to the Titanic.
In a statement, OceanGate Expeditions said, “These people were true explorers who shared a distinct spirit of journey and a deep desire for exploring and shielding the world’s oceans. Our hearts are with these people and every member of their families during this sad time.”
Earlier, the operator of the submersible missing near the wreck of the Titanic said that it believed that the tourists aboard the vessel “have sadly been lost”. Similarly, the U.S. Coast Guard said a deep-sea robot discovered a “debris field” during the search for a submarine that disappeared while transporting five individuals to the wreckage of the Titanic.
