ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif left for a two-day official visit to France Wednesday at the invitation of President of France Emmanuel Macron.
During his visit, PM Shehbaz would participate in the New Global Financing Pact Summit in Paris.
The Summit would provide an opportunity to the leaders to discuss the contours of a new world architecture capable of meeting the challenges of financing sustainable development, environment, energy transition and climate change agenda.
Shehbaz Sharif would address the Summit as the leading stakeholder of G-77 and head of one of the largest developing countries most affected by climate change.
He would present Pakistan’s perspective and proposals for reform of International Financial Institutions (IFI), climate finance, green infrastructure, SDG attainment, and debt-related solutions.
He would also hold bilateral meetings with other global leaders on the sidelines of the Summit.
