Stalemate Persists over Search Operation at Imran Khan’s Zaman Park Residence
Speaking to a private TV, the minister said that ‘no deal was reached about a search operation’ during the talks held between the four-member delegation of Punjab police and PTI.
He claimed that the former PM has been handed over a list of 2,200 “wanted people” involved in the attacks on defense installations, including Corps Commander House Lahore during the May 9 events.
Earlier, Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has issued directives the police to end the blockade outside Imran Khan’s house on the condition that “encroachments inside Zaman Park” are removed.
As per local media reports, the Chief Minister issued these directives following holding a meeting with the government team that held talks with Imran Khan, about a search of his house, at his home earlier today.
Meanwhile, PTI chief’s security in-charge Iftikhar Ghamman while talking to the reporters said that they have also provided assurance of cooperation for the search operation, stressing the need to bring the court order when starting the process.
