KYIV: Ukraine has said that unparalleled air strikes had rocked its capital Kyiv and other areas early Thursday, a day after it agreed with Russia to extend an agreement allowing grain exports across the Black Sea.
The agreement, a rare example of cooperation between the warring parties, was welcomed by the United Nations (UN) and the United States (US).
But doubts about the viability of the agreement were quickly raised after Ukraine blamed Russia for carrying out an unparalleled series of air strikes on Kyiv and other areas early Thursday.
The head of Kyiv’s civil and military administration Serhii Popko said that a series of air strikes on Kyiv, extraordinary in their power, variety, and intensity, continues. However, the official added that no human loss had been reported in the capital.
