ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Wednesday that the brotherly ties between Pakistan and Iraq were deeply rooted in a common religion and mutual interests.
Talking to Iraqi Ambassador to Pakistan Hamid Abbas Lafta, who called on him here in Islamabad, Bilawal Bhutto said that the exchange of high-level delegations and multi-dimensional cooperation were parts of these bilateral ties.
The foreign minister said that Pakistan always supported Iraqi brethren in tough times.
On the occasion, the envoy extended his gratitude to the government and the people of Pakistan for their consistent cooperation and support.
Bilawal Bhutto invited
He, on behalf of the Iraqi foreign minister, extended an invitation to Bilawal Bhutto to visit Iraq. –APP
