Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Denounces Incidents of Violence After Arrest of Imran Khan

KARACHI: Pakistan’s Foreign Minister and chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has called for rooting out the politics of division and hatred from the country.  He made these remarks while addressing a public gathering in Karachi on Saturday.

Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari termed Khan’s PTI “political terrorists” and questioned how could talks be held with them. He added “We always supported dialogue and even convinced our political allies for it”. He questioned, “how can we hold dialogue with terrorists? He maintained that they could only hold dialogue with those who denounce terrorism and distance themselves from these political terrorists”.

He claimed, “The country’s judiciary is becoming more political.”  He urged the country’s judiciary “not to interfere in politics” and added, “no institution will be permitted to become a party’s force”.

The Minister strongly denounced the recent incidents of violence in the country following former prime minister and PTI chief Imran Khan’s arrest. He asked Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf to avoid and stop politics of violence and pursue the path of peaceful politics. He said that his party is ready for the elections and also knows how to win elections in the country.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said people of Sindh reposed their confidence in PPP during the local bodies elections in the province. The Minister said that improving several sectors including the health will be top priority of the local bodies and provincial government in Sindh.
