PML-N’s Maryam Nawaz Owns Assets Worth over Rs840.89m

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senior Vice President and Chief Organiser Maryam Nawaz owns assets worth more than Rs840.89 million, suggest the financial assets detail submitted along with her nomination papers.

Maryam owes more than Rs20.89m to her brother Hasan Nawaz. He husband Captain Safdar also owes Rs60m to his friends. Her nomination papers say that Maryam is the owner of more than 1,400 kanal of land in the Raiwind area and has no property abroad.

Maryam Nawaz’ agricultural income

Maryam Nawaz has shown MA English Literature as her educational qualification in the nomination papers, reported local media on Tuesday. Maryam Nawaz has shown her agricultural income to be more than Rs10.90 million in three years. She paid more than Rs1.2m in income tax on agricultural land in the three years. She has bought shares worth more than Rs5.469m in the Hudabiya Paper Mills. She bought shares worth Rs4.821m in Muhammad Bakhsh Textile Mills.

Maryam Nawaz owns shares worth Rs1.6m in Hamza Spinning Mills and Rs90,000 worth of shares in Junaid Poultry Farms. The documents showed that the PML-N leader did not have her own vehicle. There is more than Rs7.8m in the bank accounts of Maryam Nawaz, according to the documents.
