PESHAWAR: Police officials said on Tuesday night that security forces gunned down at least 12 terrorists in an operation in Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.
According to police officials, the terrorists belonged to proscribed TTP. Police said that the terrorists had killed six police personnel in an attack in Dec. 2022.
12 terrorists killed in Northwest Pakistan
The terrorists were going to Tank area of KP to conduct a terrorist attack, Police told the media. Police maintained that ammunition and weapons were also recovered from the possession of terrorists. Police officials further said that the process of identifying the killed terrorists is underway.
