RIYADH: Saudi Aid agency, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), in partnership with the United Nations organisations, has implemented 455 projects worth more than $3.55 billion across several vital sectors, including health, nutrition, education, food and agricultural security, water, sanitation, environmental hygiene and other key areas.

The projects have been implemented in collaboration with several UN agencies, including the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the World Health Organisation (WHO), the World Food Programme (WFP) and the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO), among others, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Sunday.

Saudi Arabia, through KSrelief, continues to enhance its preparedness, expand humanitarian and relief partnerships, strengthen its international presence and foster strategic partnerships with UN organisations operating in the humanitarian sector.

These efforts underscore the Kingdom’s commitment to international humanitarian cooperation as the United Nations marks UN Day on 24 October each year.

The initiatives reflect Saudi Arabia’s longstanding humanitarian approach and reinforce its role in providing assistance to people in need around the world.
