DUBAI, UAE: Pakistan will host the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup from September 7 to October 1, 2028, as the International Cricket Council (ICC) finalises dates for a packed international cricket calendar extending through 2030.

The updated schedule, shared with ICC member boards following meetings in Dubai earlier this month, also confirms that Australia and New Zealand will jointly host the Men’s T20 World Cup from October 12 to November 12, 2028.

Women’s and Men’s T20 World Cups set for consecutive windows

Pakistan’s Women’s T20 World Cup will feature 12 teams competing for the global title. The men’s edition, staged just 11 days after the women’s tournament concludes, will feature 20 teams under the expanded format.

The back-to-back competitions will create a busy period for international cricket, with two major T20 events taking place within a little over a month of each other.

The ICC has also confirmed that the 2029 World Test Championship (WTC) final will be played in England from June 8 to 12. The one-off match will decide the champion of the 2027–29 WTC cycle, with the two highest-ranked teams qualifying for the final.

In another scheduling change, the Men’s T20 World Cup 2030 has been moved from its previously expected June window to July and August.

England, Ireland and Scotland will jointly host the 20-team tournament, having already been awarded the hosting rights.

The revised calendar outlines a busy stretch of international cricket between the 2027 and 2031 One-Day International (ODI) World Cups, with multiple global competitions scheduled across different formats and host countries.
