DUBAI, UAE: Shree Charani and Prema Rawat delivered sensational bowling performances, claiming three wickets each as India bowled out Pakistan for a paltry 55 runs in the blockbuster ninth match of the ACC Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Saturday.
Pakistan captain Fatima Sana’s decision to bat first after winning the toss backfired spectacularly as the Green Shirts’ batting lineup crumbled under pressure, managing only 55 runs before being dismissed in 18.1 overs.

The total marked Pakistan’s lowest-ever score in women’s T20Is, a disappointing outing for the side in the high-stakes continental encounter.
Pakistan’s innings
The Green Shirts started their innings on a relatively positive note, with openers Muneeba Ali and Shawaal Zulfiqar stitching together a 27-run partnership. However, the momentum shifted dramatically when right-arm spinner Shafali Verma provided India with the crucial breakthrough in the fifth over, dismissing Muneeba for 13 off 15 deliveries immediately after the left-hander had struck her for a boundary.
Pakistan’s innings then unravelled in the very next over when Charani struck twice in quick succession. She dismissed the newly-arrived Gull Feroza for a duck and then sent back opener Zulfiqar, who had top-scored for Pakistan with a run-a-ball 14, including three fours.
Charani’s twin strike triggered a catastrophic collapse, with Pakistan losing their remaining seven wickets—including that of captain Fatima Sana for a duck, for just 26 runs.
Lower-order batter Tuba Hassan showed some resistance at the backend, but her efforts were insufficient to rescue the innings as Pakistan were bundled out for their lowest-ever total in women’s T20Is.

India’s bowling brilliance
Prema Rawat and Shree Charani were the architects of Pakistan’s downfall, jointly spearheading India’s bowling attack with three wickets apiece. Deepti Sharma provided excellent support, claiming two wickets, while Shafali Verma chipped in with one scalp. The Indian bowlers maintained relentless pressure, not allowing any Pakistani batter to settle at the crease.
