NAIROBI, Kenya: Pakistan’s young Scrabble prodigies have once again proven their mastery over the English lexicon, clinching the team title at the World Youth Scrabble Championship for a record-extending seventh time, reaffirming the country’s dominance in the global youth Scrabble arena.

The 21st edition of the championship, held in Nairobi, brought together 183 players from 11 countries, but it was Pakistan’s contingent that stole the spotlight with a remarkable collective performance.

Beyond the team triumph, Pakistan’s players delivered exceptional individual results, with three competitors finishing among the top 10 in their respective age categories.

In the Under-12 category, Mustafa Farhan delivered an impressive performance, finishing as runner-up and securing second position against stiff international competition.

Taimur Wasim retains world title

The youngest member of Pakistan’s squad, Taimur Wasim, stole the show once again by winning the world championship in the Under-10 category. The prodigious youngster, who had claimed the Under-8 world title in last year’s competition, successfully defended his crown in emphatic fashion.
